Hello Family & Friends:
Days 11-31: Rathmore
On Saturday, April 11th, I took a short bus ride to Rathmore, a rural location outside of Killarney. I will be here four days before Robbie joins me. We have 2 1/2 weeks here, which will give us easy access to Killarney, the starting point for many popular bus tours.

Rathmore Airbnb
Our Airbnb in Rathmore and the “supermarket” next door.

Rathmore Grocery Store
Most of the rural grocery stores, and even some in town, are very small with narrow aisles and a limited selection.
We were so glad to find this one right next to our Airbnb because the bus into Killarney is 25 minutes away and costs $10.30 round trip.

Rathmore Church

Irish Traffic Signs
What is traffic calming? Is that a thing?
We’re not in Kansas anymore, Toto.
Robbie landed in Dublin on Tuesday, April 14th, and arrived on the train to Rathmore that night. So happy he is here! I’m so ready to share this experience with someone I love.
Our first tour together to the Dingle Peninsula, a route that will take us past the inland waters of the Atlantic Ocean, is just ahead.
See you in my next post!
Anne
